Why, Why, Why, Why, Why: Lean Starts With You
In Lean, we don't blame. We ask why. Five times. Until we hit the root cause.
We do it on machines. We do it on processes. Rarely on ourselves.
Try it.
"I'm always rushing in the mornings."
Why? I leave late.
Why? I get up late.
Why? I'm tired.
Why? I go to bed late.
Why? I'm on my phone till midnight.
The problem was never the morning. It was the night before.
Leading yourself works the same way. Stress, frustration and the same mistake twice aren't failures. They're signals.
Two rules. Ask "How can I improve this?", not "Who's to blame?" And don't stop at the comfortable answer. The truth is usually at why number four.
Today, pick one frustration. Ask why five times. Change one small thing before bed.
